What a game! Not pretty by any means, but a win puts us two points behind Sampdoria and in 7th for now.
Milan needed two goals from their Ivorian International star, Kessie to secure victory after Nicolo Barella put Cagliari up 1-0 in the 8th minute. Barella’s goal came off a blunder from Gigi Donnarumma who saw the ball slip from his hands.
The first goal by Kessie came out of a penalty where Nikola Kalinic finally managed to do something good for the squad and win a foul in the box. Here is the goal:

After that came something rare, with Milan playing pretty capably which culminated in a good combination that ended with Kalinic laying off the ball to Kessie for his second of the game in the 42nd minute of play.
Nice job by Kalinic, Kessie with great finish. #CagliariMilan https://t.co/UFSa3HPBOG

The second half brought out poor football from both sides which other than a Jack Bonaventura shot early in the second half was pretty quiet.
That is until the 80th minute when Ricardo Rodriguez earned a second yellow and was sent off. Followed by Cagliari’s goal scorer Barella earning a red in the 88th minute after a crunching tackle that essentially ended the games.
A nervy last couple minutes amounted to nothing and Milan wins 2-1 behind a brace from Kessie. Kessie is definitely MOTM for today’s games.
