UPDATE: Milan confirmed on their website Biglia’s injury, following tests.

After today's tests, Lucas Biglia was diagnosed with a lesion to his left thigh femoral bicep muscle. His time of recovery will depend on the evolution of the clinical picture and is estimated to be approximately four weeks.

Biglia was bound to make his AC Milan debut, with the bounds situation straightened out, but a muscle injury yanked it back on hold. At least it’s nothing to do with ‘bonds’ and payment!

The player will be out for the next two weeks to say the least, meaning he’ll most probably miss the next three games (the Europa League playoff, as well as the Serie A opener against Crotone) on account of a thigh injury, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

This is needless to say a bit of a downer for all the Rossoneri fans, who were dying to see the ex- Lazio captain take to the pitch for the first time in a competitive game. Biglia shouldn’t be a huge miss early on - but ideally the Rossoneri would be able to fit in Biglia soon. This is good news for Locatelli, though.

We wish Lucas Biglia a speedy recovery.
