For a team that went so hard in the mercato so far, AC Milan have a bit of a problem up front right now - namely, they don’t want to play Carlos Bacca; who they are selling and Andre Silva, who was just started training with the team after international action in the summer. Until Milan sign a new striker, this will be the situation; but some will look to make the best of the opportunity. The first-leg with Craiova is drawing closer, and Milan won’t be able to bring in anyone to register them on time.
Enter Patrick Cutrone, Milan’s two-goal hero during the four-nil crushing of Bayern Munich on the weekend. Cutrone is set to get the start for Milan over Andre Silva against Craiova according to Gazzetta.
AC Milan have a history of great youth talent, but they also have a history of wasted youth talent; Vincenzo Montella is doing the right thing by allowing Cutrone to have a large role in the first-team. Since the youngster is doing so well, long may it continue! Until Milan sign Belotti, Aubameyang or whomever they are chasing these days.
