After a live draw on UEFA.com, AC Milan found out that they will be playing CS Craiova of Romania in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

The first leg will take place in Romania on the 27th of July, while the return leg will take place at the San Siro on the 3rd of August.

AC Milan must remain professional over both legs and get the job done.

As for the path to the group stage? Here’s a bit of context:

‘Because of Milan’s finish in Serie A, they will enter the 3rd round of this year’s Europa League Qualifiers. They must beat their opposition over two legs, before beating another team in a playoff to enter the group stages of the Europa League. A bit of a more challenging path awaits Milan.’

Because Milan were seeded, they avoided a number of tricky teams - Bordeaux, Maccabi Tel-Aviv (or KR Reykjavík), Galatasary (or Östersunds), Hajduk Split (or Levski Sofia) and Haugesund (or Lech Poznan). However, there are no ‘easy draws’ and big teams have found that out. The draw is favourable, but Milan have work to do. We’ll see you on the 27th for Milan’s first leg away in Romania!
