Gianluigi Donnarumma showered in cash during Italy U21 game

Gianluigi Donnarumma won’t be at AC Milan longer - but he’s stuck as an Italy player for life, being born there and all. Donnarumma has yet to face the media after turning down AC Milan’s contract offer.

While Gigio might be able to escape the eye of the Italian press for now - he certainly can’t escape Milan fans. During today’s game with Denmark’s youth team, the Polish AC Milan fan club organised the production and display of a ‘Dollarumma’ banner.

That’s not all though - Donnarumma’s goalmouth was showered with dozens of fake dollar bills. It’s clear what Milan fans think, despite Mino Raiola’s assurances that the decision made was not about compensation. Milan offered a lofty sum, which was turned down and the clear feeling here is that Milan’s support feel Donnarumma is running after the dollars.

As for Gigio’s reaction? He didn’t seem happy - not at all.
