The Corriere della Sera is featuring a story this morning that claims that the agent of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Mino Raiola, is threatening to take legal action against AC Milan. After an elongated saga, Donnarumma rejected the latest contract from AC Milan via proxy (he’s on duty with Italy), and has endured fierce criticism from not just the Milan following, but the football world at large.
What did the paper have to say? Michele Pasquali has kindly translated for us via Tutto Mercato:
“Mino Raiola's lawyers threaten to prosecute Milan after Donnarumma turned down their offer: in effect they claim that the club didn't protect Gigio from the media and created a toxic situation which undermines his peace and happiness and they are ready to move even if Milan don't make him play.”
Effectively, Mino is accusing Milan of throwing Gigio to the wolves. Whether he’s right or not remains to be seen, but the duo certainly fanned the flames by delaying talks for so long.
