Dear Gigio
I know that there's a lot of things that are not going according to plan, but I hope you're doing well amidst all the talk about your future. I know things are confusing, and probably heart-breaking for you at the moment, for we all know that Milan is your home and no transfer will change that.
There is going to be a massive change in your life, and I hope you're ready for it. The world isn't going to be as loving and forgiving as the Rossoneri have been for the past two seasons. We watched you make mistakes as a boy and looked beyond to the man you could be, because you were one of us.
We watched you stumble like Humpty Dumpty and put you back together, because like a child that learns how to cycle, we knew there many more falls to come before you found your feet and rode against the wind.
The club has been your home, your asylum, and the fans have been your strength. I hope you realise that, because no one else is going to tell you this—not your friends, not your family, and most certainly not your agent.
Like a beacon, you filled the Devil's home with hope, and for that we will always be thankful.
If you stay, despite the drama that's about to ensue, I will respect it. If you don't, I will accept it.
I would like to thank you for your services.
I wish you could have stayed, like I know you want to, but we don't always get what we want from life.
This is not a plea for you to stay, but a bitter-sweet admission of how thankful I am to you for guarding the Milan goal with your life, when you were just a little (LOL) boy.
Hopefully, there is still a little red and black in your heart, to make the right choice.
Yours truly,
A fan.
