AC Milan have come out of nowhere over the weekend to lead the hunt for Porto’s Andre Silva. Not only that, but they are on the verge of signing the young Portuguese for a deal that might edge €40 million.
Like Ricardo Rodiguez, Silva couldn’t stop the compliments from rolling as he emerged from his medical at La Madonnina clinic this afternoon. Silva hailed the structure of Milan and was delighted with the facilities at the club - stating it was a dream come true to be part of the Rossoneri.
The young phenom has scored seven goals in eight caps for the Portugal national side and has vowed to replicate that form in Serie A has Milan look to build on their sixth placed finish.
This move did come as surprise - and it looks like AC Milan might not continue their interest in Celtic’s Dembele. Silva is certainly a great signing capable of playing for Milan’s first team - it still looks as though they will pursue Andrea Belotti or Diego Costa to lead the line though.
