Life-long Milan fan and departed owner, Silvio Berlusconi believes that Milan are one small change away from greatness. That change? It’s not far away - however it is not what you think it is.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Berlusconi revealed that he is revelling in his new life as a Milan fan, but one thing is becoming clear. It’s that Milan need to change.
Now, according to Milan’s biggest armchair fan - what is it that the Rossoneri need to change? It’s not players - but tactics. According to Berlusconi, Milan don’t need to bring in a bunch of new players, they just need to change how they play. If Berlusconi knows his trequartista from his shadow striker, he might be onto something, otherwise, he is just like us - Milan fans shouting into the wind.
Milan need a change in tactics, for sure - but they also need players. Milan have a number of world-beaters on a foundation of average. This isn’t good enough if they want to make an impact. Berlusconi? He shouldn’t worry too much - any transfers won’t be coming out of his pocket.
