"It’s a bold strategy Cotton, let’s see if it pays off for ‘em"

AC Milan have been negotiating a new deal with Gianluigi Donnarumma for a while but they still have not reached an agreement, while the 18-year-old goalkeeper keeps drawing interest from many European clubs.

The Rossoneri have already seen strategies like this since it’s not the first time they negotiate a new deal with a player whose agent is Mino Raiola, but this time they’re not willing to waste their time. In effect, as firstly reported by the Saturday morning edition of Corriere dello Sport, Milan threatened Donnarumma to take a place in the stands if they can’t reach an agreement before June 30. At the moment, Gigio is taking just €250,000 a year since it was the best deal he could sign as a minor, but the Rossoneri already made him an offer around €3-3.5 million until 2022.

This proves that Milan are not afraid to use an extreme strategy for these negotiations, even if it could cost them their best prospect and one of the best — if not the best — young goalkeepers in the world.
