WATCH: Candreva opens the scoring for Inter

Despite the early intention and prowess of the rossoneri, It would be Inter Milan who opened the scoring in the Derby della Madonnina. Milan’s high line was punished as a great long ball dipped over the head of Romagnoli and bounced past Mattia De Sciglio to fall to the surging Antonio Candreva who lunged the ball past Gianluigi Donnarumma. One nice bit of play, one good ball and that was it - a goal to Inter. No question, every single Milan player in contact with the ball could have done a lot better. Watch it for yourself, below.

It gets worse though. This is the first of two Inter goals in the first half. Icardi banged the ball past Donnarumma and Inter go into the second half with a two goal lead over Milan. Right now? That means Inter jump ahead of AC Milan in the table and grab the derby bragging rights.
