Milan’s signing of Caceres is unlikely, but possible.

The former Bianconeri player is a crock right now, but the Rossoneri might take a chance.

Milan are interested in signing Martin Caceres on a free transfer to bolster their squad until the end of the season.

The former Juve man is having a medical tomorrow in Milan to evaluate his fitness and the possibility of signing the defender until the end of the season. It’s important to note that the Uruguayan has already failed medicals with both Trazbonspor and Fiorentina in January, so it’s unlikely that Milan will make a move for the player.

Caceres’ fitness is a doubt after a achilles tear he suffered this time last year while playing for Juventus. His contract with the Bianconeri expired at the end of the past season and the player has not played since.

Caceres linked up with English side Crystal Palace this past weekend, but Sam Allardyce chose to loan Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho. While that may not be damning of Caceres, it certainly isn’t the best sign. West Ham also refused to sign Caceres due to his wage demands, so one would have to wonder how Milan could afford Martin Caceres when others cannot.
