Leonardo Bonucci is one of thirty players who have been nominated for the 2017 Ballon D'or.

While a win, for most, is a heck of a long shot, even being included on the thirty man list is an award in itself, and something that any nominee can be proud of.

While Bonucci has clearly been nominated due to his displays with Juventus and the Italian national team, if successful, he will bring the award back to AC Milan, as a Milan player. That's still a long shot, though, so don't get your hopes up.

Bonucci has endured a pretty mixed spell at Milan so far and while his bravado, experience and leadership skills are needed in the team, the results right now don't really reflect any of that. In fact, an argument could be made that Milan have shown a slight regression since last season.

Show us why you're a nominee, Leo.
