EDITORS NOTE: - Everton have actually denied all of this.

AC Milan have today announced the signing of Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu on loan until the end of the 2016/2017 season.

For whatever reason - mainly the delay in the Sino Europ takeover - Milan couldn’t afford to get their man on a permanent basis. A loan, will surely suffice for now though.

Earlier we wrote about how it was a sorry situation that Milan cannot afford to buy a single player - take a look:

‘It’s a sorry state of affairs when Milan can identify squad reinforcements, but can’t buy them due to lack of resources. A club that was once the cream of Europe is now being forced to pry pennies from behind cushions. It’s not Lionel Messi, it’s not Zlatan, it isn’t Belotti, Benzema or Giroud. It’s a squad player that is barely featuring for Everton. That’s sad.’

Everton will likely replace Deulofeu with Memphis Depay - who is the player Milan possibly should have targeted in the first place.
