Money changes hands as Milan sale nears completion

Fininvest have confirmed that a large payment has been made by Milan’s new owners.

As reported by ANSA.IT, Milan’s sale is coming and the last day of the Silvio Berlusconi era is fast approaching. If you want to take note of it, it will be 5th of November 2016 as the world gears up to change seasons.

As winter starts to arrive, so will Milan’s new owners - Sino-Europe, who are already eating away at Berlusconi’s ownership by making payments towards owning what will amount to be a majority of AC Milan’s shares.

It’s not a rumour anymore, it’s not something that will go away easily either - money has changed hands over AC Milan.

It’s legal now, folks. Ansa’s story is below.

“AC Milan's Chinese buyers on Tuesday paid Silvio Berlusconi's Fininvest a second instalment of a 100-million-euro downpayment agreed last month in the sale of the seven-time European champions. Sino-Europe Sports Investment Management Changxing paid 85 million euros, following their initial August 5 installment of 15 million euros. The deal will be finalised by the end of the year. Berlusconi's Fininvest holding company said on August 5 that it had signed a preliminary contract to sell 99.93% of AC Milan to the Chinese consortium.” - ANSA
