Italian Super Cup Destination Revealed

The Supercoppa Italia has a different home this year

This December will see the Supercup Italia match move to Qatar, and will feature Juventus taking on Juventus.

Wait, what?

I’m kidding.

Technically, the trophy is a battle between the Serie A winners and the Coppa Italia winners, which the Bianconeri won both of last season. So rather than have an all Juve match, the powers that be have decided that the Coppa finalists from last season are the next best thing.

(That’s us).

The game will be played on December 23rd in Doha, Qatar. It is the second time the trophy match has made a visit to Qatar, the previous game being Napoli against Juventus in 2014, which was won by Napoli on penalties.

This gives Milan the chance to make amends after losing 1-0 in extra time in the Coppa Italia final last season. Alvaro Morata scored the winner in the 110th minute, a delightful end to a truly miserable season for any red and black fan!

If you want to relive the match (I know I don’t), then check out the winner slotted home by Morata
