Gustavo Gomez, twenty-three year old center back, may be heading to Milan from Lanus. Gomez may be used as a temporary replacement for Zapata after the deal for Musacchio fell through.

The Paraguayan is eager for a move to Milan, wishing to play top tier soccer. Fiorentina is also linked with the defender, but it seems as though Gomez prefers Milan. If the deal were to go through, Milan would get Gomez on loan, obligated to purchase him for €8 million after he reaches an unknown amount of appearances for the club.

It seems as though Milan have resorted to their old tactic, purchasing any player that can arrive for free, Vangioni and possibly Arbeloa being the others. Premium have confirmed the deal, stating that the player will go to Milan tomorrow and have his medical visits on Friday.

It would be the third acquisition of the window for Milan. Hopefully, Gomez will be a pleasant surprise.
