We’ve got something important to tell you about AC Milan’s goalkeeping prodigy, Gigio Donnarumma but first, I need to get something out of the way.
There we go. Never gets old, eh? Now, for the news.
Gigio Donnarumma has been called up to Italy’s national team by new coach Gian Piero Ventura and could possibly make his debut against France on the 1st of September.
It’s simply incredible. He’s 17 years and a half, making him Italy’s youngest senior-level player to be called up in 105 years! It’s very easy to forget that amongst the poise and talent of Donnarumma, that’s he’s still not even 18 years old. Good luck Gigio!
Renzo De Vecchi is still the youngest player to feature for the Azzuri at just over 16 years of age. De Vecchi also trained at Milan! These things do come around.
A bunch of Milan players make the team in what will be the first game for Italy post-Conte.
