Heyo, clickbait title!
It appears as though Milan will be heading over to the United Kingdom during the first international break of the season. This time, to play in a testimonial match against Premier League club AFC Bournemouth.
The Rossoneri are set to play the Cherries on September 3 at Vitality stadium, with the match in honour of long-serving Bournemouth player Warren Cummings, who played over 300 games for the club and retired at the end of last season.
While international breaks are the bane of many people’s existence, especially when the Serie A will have just started, at least those who aren’t on international duty might actually get some gametime (?!). The Serie A kicks off for AC Milan on the 21st August against Torino, so the first of many (mildly infuriating) international breaks happens almost immediately.
Milan accepted the invitation from Bournemouth, but that may be because they still call us European Giants (we totally are, right?). Well, that and the fact that they based their kit on the Milan one. They wish they were Milan, basically.
