Jose Sosa may not be coming to Milan after all, Besiktas announcing on their website that he has been reintegrated into their team. It is unlikely, barring surprises, that the Argentinian will head to the Rossoneri.
It seemed as though Besiktas would be forced to give Sosa up after he left their training camp, unhappy with their refusal to budge on the fee and let the transfer go through. Milan, however, refused to pay the fee that Besiktas demanded.
Another problem was that of Sosa’s citizenship. Sosa, being an Argentinian, would take up the second Non-EU spot after Milan purchased Gustavo Gomez, also an Argentinian, from Lanus. Milan may be saving that spot for another player such as Cuadrado.
Milan have been rumored to be scouring the market for midfielders such as Isco and Badelj. They also are interested in a winger. We’ll see if the funds are available to make some purchases by the end of the window.
