AC Milan’s ownership status might finally be coming to a conclusion.

Silvio Berlusconi seems to have finally decided to sell the club to the Chinese group rumoured to be interested in taking Milan so Curva Sud wanted to express how they feel about it and they did so with a message on their site’s homepage.

This is the full letter that you can find on the Curva Sud temporary home page.

We’re going to sum up the content of this letter quoting and translating a couple of key phrases that perfectly express how they feel about the sale of AC Milan.

Here’s the translation:

‘Starting from the fact that nobody has forgotten the good moments that we lived during these years thanks to a perfect management by the ownership, constantly aware and enthusiastic, but the recent situation led us to exasperation and made a huge part of the fans — not us, to be clear — falling out of love with Milan.’

They still love Milan and they always will, but they can’t understand why Berlusconi’s family didn’t take the control of the club and continue what Silvio started 30 years ago.

The translated version:

‘We don’t understand how his sons could ignore their father’s love, the thing that gave him great success and popularity, forcing him to sell the club at the age of 80, instead of helping, supporting and succeeding him as leaders.’

However, they still believe that Milan need to renew their management staff in order to rebuild a winning team.

Also, they don’t want Adriano Galliani anymore.

‘The important thing is a fresh start from the beginning, firing those who affected the club and bringing new enthusiasm in a club that was once considered the number one in the world, the winningest, the one that inspired the others, as well as the one that was used to fire those players that didn’t honor the club. We want to make clear that if the sale became reality, the participation of Mr. Galliani in any role, even if just for the sporting purposes, would be the cause of disappointment and we wish that any choice will be analyzed with attention by the new owners.’

So, the Curva Sud have a really cautious approach to the new ownership and that’s reasonable for a group of diehard milanisti, but they still hope that the Rossoneri will have a bright future. However, their position about Galliani and his role is a clear sign that they’re projected to a new beginning with no traces of Milan’s recent failures.

Time for a fresh start?
