Milan will face dreaded rivals, Liverpool, in the second game of the International Champions Cup.

Milan will come into the matchup, confident after their tough win against Bayern on Wednesday. On the other hand, Liverpool suffered a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea. The two teams are familiar with each other, playing each other in the 2005 and 2007 Champions League final, splitting the matchups 1-1. The 2005 final still stings for Milan fans after Milan surrendered a 3-0 lead in the second half, eventually losing 3-2 on penalties. Milan had revenge, however, winning the 2007 final 2-1.

The two teams will be looking to win given the fierce rivalry between the two clubs. Milan are currently second in the group with 2 points from their penalty win. Liverpool are last in the group, the only team to suffer a regular time defeat. Montella's squad managed to scrape out a win last game, but they will need to perform better to ensure victory this time.
