Milan is kicking off their U.S. tour with a very difficult match against Bayern.
When: July 27, 2016, 8:00 p.m. (ET), 1:00 a.m. (BST)
Where: Soldier Field: Chicago, Illinois
Milan Probable XI: Donnarumma, Antonelli, Romagnoli, Paletta, Abate, Bertolacci, Montolivo, Poli, Bonaventura, Niang, Suso
Bayern Probable XI: Ulrich, Bernat, Martinez, Feldhah, Rafinha, Alaba, Alonso, Lahm, Ribery, Green, Benko
Both coaches may be looking to use a 4-3-3. Bayern will most likely not field their best team, with key players such as Neuer, Lewandowski, and Boateng taking a rest. Nevertheless, Bayern's squad will be stronger, and Milan will need to play extremely well to beat the German giants coached by former Milan coach, Carlo Ancelotti.
This will be Montella's first true test, after Milan dispatched Bordeaux 2-1, thanks to Suso. Milan's upcoming matches are against Liverpool and Chelsea, both great teams. Milan are arguably the second worst team in terms of players after Celtic, pitted in a group of champions.
If Montella's Milan is able to perform well, it would be a great sign for the club, perhaps signaling the potential to qualify for European football.
