Could Bacca be Barcelona bound?

The Bacca saga continues, this time with links to Barcelona.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a deal for Carlos Bacca. The Colombian striker has been linked to several clubs, including West Ham, Atletico Madrid and Napoli. There was an agreement between Milan and West Ham for a transfer deal, however Bacca backtracked and instead preferred to look elsewhere, hoping a bigger club would be interested in him.

Despite Milan wanting Bacca to stay at the club, it would probably be in the best interests of both parties if he moved on, enabling Milan to pursue other interests that would fit Montella’s mould.

The Catalan club are weighing up a move for the Colombian after talks with Luciano Vietto from Atletico Madrid had cooled.

If Bacca were to head to Barcelona, he would act as a backup striker, sitting behind the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, but the lure of Champions League football would appeal to him.

Carlos joined AC Milan from Sevilla in 2015, and has been one of their better players since joining the club. Last season saw him net 20 goals from 43 appearances, with 4 assists also added to his name.

He would command a fee of around 30 million euros, wherever he goes.
