Gianluigi Donnarumma agreed to extend his contract with AC Milan until 2019, confirming what we all know to be true, that the Rossoneri believe in his huge potential.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gigio’s new deal will make him earn almost €1.5 million per year (he took €250k last season) and his salary could increase again when he’ll be 18.

This is the maximum extension he can sign at the moment since he’s just 17, but Milan are planning to make it a 5-year-deal as soon as he turns 18, considerably increasing his transfer value.

For that reason, this might be Milan’s best move in the transfer market so far since it can be convenient for the club either way; if he stays or if he leaves. In effect, Donnarumma is a unique quantity considering that he’s a 17-year-old goalkeeper with huge potential and has already played 30 games in Serie A, making him a valuable player.
