Hachim Mastour is set to leave Milan for the season, as PEC Zwolle have agreed a deal with the Rossoneri to borrow the youngster for their upcoming Eredivisie campaign.

Mastour has been back in Milan for about three days after his loan at Malaga was terminated as the Moroccan only managed to make one appearance for the Spanish side in a two-year loan spell. He’d only manage to get halfway through that deal before Malaga would pull the plug.

My colleague Tim was correct in his article, then, when he said PEC Zwolle were targeting the gifted youngster and he’s been proven right:

‘The final details are yet to be worked out, but if successful, he signs a loan deal for one season. ‘It could be a beautiful transfer. He is a great talent and we are very curious about how he can perform at a higher level." - Gerard Nijkamp, Technical Director of PEC Zwolle speaking to Fox Sports.

There’s high hope that Mastour can really turn his game on in the Eredivisie and come back to Milan with more experience and game time.
