When Zlatan speaks, the world listens.
Overnight, Zlatan Ibrahimovic took to Instagram to announce his next club, saying "Time to let the world know. My next destination is Manchester United." The post was accompanied with the Manchester United emblem, and the post has over 80,000 comments and close to 1 million likes.
Speculation over which club Zlatan would choose next had been rife for months, since he opted to leave Paris Saint-Germain and not renew his contract with the French side. There were possible hints to a return to Serie A football, and even a move back to AC Milan, however that was always a long shot, especially with ownership of the club still up in the air, and the price tag that comes with the Swedish mastermind. The former Milan forward played in the red and black between 2010 and 2012, netting 56 times in 85 appearances and was a much loved player by the fans.
Ibra has played for Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter and AC Milan before he joined up with PSG, and he has won a trophy every season of his career since 2001, including 13 league titles. United brings a fresh new challenge for the Swede and the prospect of working with Jose again was too good to pass up.
Manchester United haven't publicly announced anything yet, and he is also yet to undergo a medical and sign a contract with the club, but Ibra always gets what he wants.
