In an interview with German press agency BT, 20-year-old midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg talked about his desire to find a new club for next season. Hojbjerg spent last season on loan at Schalke 04, and will now return to his parent club Bayern Munich, but not to stay.
It would appear as though Milan would be a perfect fit for the 20-year-old, who went on to say that "It doesn't have to be a big club, I need to find a team with a project because I am only 20-years-old but I have a lot of experience at the same time".
Milan are looking to rebuild after a pretty dismal season and having Pierre in the squad could be a good move.
Sampdoria had negotiated a move for the youngster last summer, but he ultimately chose Schalke 04 instead. AC Milan had also scouted him during last year's AUDI Cup, even going so far as having talks with the Bavarians about their interest. However, the Rossoneri never put an official offer in for the player.
It looks like both clubs will be in the running to sign the young midfielder, with the player's agent expected in Milan before the weekend.
