It's official, Milan have signed Gianluca Lapadula. On Friday Lapadula arrived in Milan to sign his contract and take his medicals, officially becoming Milan's second summer signing after Argentine left back Leonel Vangioni. Lapadula is a 5'10 26 year old striker who is coming off of a remarkable season in Serie B where he scored 30 goals, amazingly none of them were penalties.

It was widely reported that Juventus, Napoli, Sassuolo, and Genoa had agreed deals with Pescara, but Lapadula opted to join the Rossoneri.

Milan will pay the Delfini €9 million plus an additional €1 in potential bonuses. Meanwhile Milan confirmed that the player has signed a 5 year contract with the Rossoneri which is due to expire on June 30th 2021. Lapadula will reportedly earn €1 million per year.

It was reported only a few days ago that Milan were far behind the likes of Juve, Napoli, and Genoa in the race to sign the 26 year old hitman, but an eleventh hour push from Adriano Galliani backed by Silvio Berlusconi was enough to seal the deal.
