In the 2014/2015 season, there was little hope for Milan. The only spotlight was Jeremy Menez. Scoring 16 goals and even banking four assists, he managed to score some miraculous goals, like this one:

One would think that he may continue this hot streak into the 2015/2016 season and somehow work with Carlos Bacca or even Luis Adriano (remember him?) and revamp Milan’s offense. The reality was the 29-year-old barely featured this season after a long-term injury and grew out of favor with then-manger Mihajlovic.

Following this subpar season Menez’s agent proclaimed the following:

“He has a year left on his Milan contract and I think he will leave the club, so at that point we’ll reflect on his future,” Jean-Pierre told RadioEurope1 on Tuesday afternoon. “When will he leave? This summer. We’ll see what proposals we’ve got. Ligue 1? Why not…”

It seems as if Menez will follow the likes of Stephan El Shaarawy and leave Milan. It’s unfortunate that another Milan player who was once in the spotlight leaves Milan struggling.
