Luca Antonelli may miss the Coppa Italia final against Juventus after suffering an injury following the draw with Frosinone, in which scored a spectacular overhead kick goal after coming off the bench. Unfortunately it was that goal that has led to the injury.
In a statement on their website, the Rossoneri have said that Antonelli suffered "a partial tear of the soleus muscle in his right leg".
There is no exact recovery time and the website goes on to say that 'recovery times will be evaluated based on the evolution of the clinical procedure'.
Antonelli's agent, Gianni Vitali, has said that the defender will be doing everything possible to regain his fitness for the crucial Coppa Italia final, where the Rossoneri will take on Juventus. Milan need to win this match to have any hope of playing European football next season.
Antonelli has scored three goals this season, and would be a big miss for the crucial cup clash.
