There's probably something you should know despite this result.
This match was a bad match. Lower Serie B quality.
It appears that Milan's new boss, Cristian Brocchi was unable to fully galvanize the Rossoneri who pretty much sleepwalked to victory against Sampdoria and if these performances continue, Milan will only qualify for European competition by accident.
A second half goal from Carlos Bacca, his fifteenth of the season, was enough to secure victory for the Rossoneri despite there being no improvement in performance under their new coach. The team played exactly the same as they performed under previous manager Sinisa Mihajlovic.
It should also be mentioned that Mario Balotelli missed a number of scoreable set piece opportunities. These cannot be wasted in future because Milan are barely able to score from open play. The Rossoneri need to convert from set-pieces if they are to improve this season or even next season.
It'd be insulting to suggest a man of the match for this game and although Milan did steal a win, they might not be this lucky in the near future. Performances must improve because Milan can qualify for continental competition, but only if they step it up a notch.
Enjoy this one, Cristian. They might not come as easy next time.
