Milan to honour late legend with permanent fixture

Cesare Maldini may be gone, but he won't be forgotten.

Cesare Maldini's passing was felt the world over, but like an earthquake, the epicentre of the news could only have been Milan.

Whilst celebrating Cesare's time with Milan with a tifo during the Rossoneri's last game with Juventus, A.C Milan will go to another length to immortalise their hero.

The club has confirmed that a park or recreational ground will be erected outside of the San Siro to remember the man who played so many roles at Milan. The park is expected to be finished by the time that the San Siro hosts this year's Champions League final, which is incredible timing considering that Maldini was the first Italian to lift that same trophy.

Despite handling their on-the-pitch issues quite badly, Milan has dealt with Maldini's passing in such a way that despite their current failings, I am glad to call myself a supporter of the club.

Here's to the future!
