It was only two years ago that Milan striker Gianluca Lapadula was suiting up for Lega Pro outfit Teramo.
Now, the Italian forward is all but set to make his debut for the Italian National Team after being called up by Italian head honcho, Ventura.
Other rossoneri who could feature for Ventura’s azzuri are goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Mattia De Sciglio, Luca Antonelli, Alessio Romagnoli, Giacomo Bonaventura and of course, Gianluca Lapadula.
If Lapadula does play for Italy, he will of course forfeit his right to feature for his secondary nationality of Peru. It’s likely that will appear for the azzuri against European minnows Liechtenstein on the 12th of November as part of Italy’s FIFA 2018 qualifying campaign.
Following that, Italy will host Germany at Milan’s San Siro on November the 15th.
Either way, it’s exciting times right now for Milan’s players and fans who are enjoying a decent run of form and it’s great that that is being recognised.
