We’ve said for a long time that Milan’s takeover is over, but now? It’s almost finally over.
Milan have confirmed that Sino-Europe will complete their takeover on the 2nd of December 2016. The 13th of December is a reserve date in case of any mishaps in paperwork, but it should all be cleared and stamped on the 2nd.
‘The AC Milan board have met today and approved the request of the shareholder Fininvest to hold a shareholders meeting on the 2nd of December 2016 and another on the 13th if necessary. The assembly will be called upon, among other things, in order to allow the parent company Fininvest to fulfil their contracted commitment to sell their entire stake in AC Milan.’
That’s certainly something.
This means that Berlusconi and Fininvest’s thirty year reign over the rossoneri will be coming to an end within a month. It feels weird, but it’s a new dawn.
Finally.
