AC Milan made a huge statement tonight as they beat Juventus 1-0 at the San Siro. 18-year old Manuel Locatelli scored the match winner with a second half rocket that blasted past Gianluigi Buffon and into the back of the net, and Milan secured the win with a stunning late save from Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Juventus had thought they had scored in the first half from a Miralem Pjanic free kick. Pjanic managed to get the ball in the back of the net, and while the goal was initially given, after protest from Milan and some words from the sideline officials, the goal was reversed. Whether it was reversed for an offside, or because it was supposed to be an indirect kick is uncertain. Either way, it changed the game.

Milan were the better side throughoutmuch of the match, and it was the two youngsters in the team who stepped up. Donnarumma was phenomenal in goal, and Locatelli, who is just 18 years old, scored the winner. Receiving the ball from Suso, Locatelli runs to the top of the box, proceeding to smash the ball into the top of the net and past a bewildered Buffon. The goal sent the San Siro rocking and Milan were pumped.

Juve did their best to grab an equaliser, but Milan were too strong in defence and perhaps a little lucky at times. Several shots from Cuadrado and company were sent either wide or way over the bar. Pjanic also perhaps should have been sent off after colliding with Donnarumma, seemingly injuring the goalkeeper in the process.
Not to be outshone by Locatelli, Donnarumma put on a show as well. Making a huge save right at the end in the 95th minute. Juventus had one final chance to equalise, and Donnarumma made a massive save to deny them. It was an incredible moment from the youngster in one of the biggest situations of his young career.
