Milan has not been brilliant during their first appearances so today they will have the chance to show if they're working hard enough to improve rapidly as a team, especially in the defensive phase. So is there a better opportunity than the Derby della Madonnina for displaying how good rossoneri could be?

AC Milan starting XI (4-3-1-2): Diego López; Calabria, Alex, Ely, De Sciglio; De Jong, Poli, Bertolacci; Honda; Matri, Niang.
FC Internazionale starting XI (4-2-3-1): Carrizo; Santon, Andreolli, Popa, Nagatomo; Gnoukouri, Taider; Baldini, Delgado, Dimarco; Longo.
Mihajlovic decided to send on the field his typical preseason defense with the young Calabria - who's playing great recently - as right-back, Alex and Ely in the middle and De Sciglio on the left. Again, Milan won't have a true regista at the midfield since De Jong is likely to have this kind of duties today, but it would be interesting seeing if the two box-to-box midfielders Poli and Bertolacci will work well together. Honda will have a rare chance in his natural role and will support a brand new duo of forwards formed by Matri and Niang.
Mancini preferred a younger formation for his starting lineup, leaving all his usual starters on the bench, at least for the first half of the game.
