Milan vs Cesena

February 22nd, 2015

14:00

San Siro

Cesena's 19th position on the table is deceiving, at least recently. This by no means will be an easy game and with the way Milan have been playing recently, no game admittedly is an easy game. Cesena are coming off a 2-2 draw with Juventus and have beaten Parma and Lazio in the last month alone. Milan on the other hand have only won one game in 2015 and sit in 11th place. The promise of a Champions League place is far gone, but a Europa league spot is still within reach.

From points gained in 2015, Milan would be second bottom, in front of Parma, who is in dire trouble on the field and off of it. Parma are also ironically the only team that Milan have beaten this year. Milan have also not won any of the 4 games against newly promoted clubs, again proving that we struggle against supposedly weak opposition more than the stronger ones.

The list of players out for Milan are as follows:

Mattia De Sciglio, Cristian Zapata, Stephan El Shaarawy, Ignazio Abate, Hachim Mastour, Diego Lopez, Gabriel Paletta, Phillippe Mexes and Alex.

Cesena also have an injury crisis of their own:

Luca Valzania, Guido Marilungo, Andrea Tabanelli, Riccardo Cazzola, Emmanuel Cascione, Nico Pulzetti and Gabriele Perico.
