De Sciglio likely out for the season

Good night sweet prince

It was the worst of times, it was the saddest of times.

Mattia De Sciglio has spoken on the subject of his injury --leg fracture that was supposed to be a six week layoff-- and stated that due to not wanting another relapse, he may have to shut it down for the rest of the season.

Unfortunately my lay-off will be a pretty long one, a relapse of the inflammation I had a while back under the foot

It requires a bit of patience. This time I want to come back on the field only when I am 100 per cent, so I don't want to risk relapses

So that means that the promising and beautiful defender will only have amassed 13 appearances this season. Thankfully due to smart --yes! smart!-- transfer business, we have reinforcements in his position and can cope with his absence.

The hope is that this layoff and subsequent recovery can help allay his injury problems. Maybe he can use time to introduce more gym work into his routine and strengthen himself for the next season. The boy has a bright future ahead of him and it would be a pity if injuries became a road block.
