It may have been a season of ups and downs so far for Milan at senior level, but things remain jubilant around the club's youth sector, and so they should!
On Wednesday night, Milan held its annual Christmas Party in honour of the club's burgeoning youth sector at the Metropol Dolce & Gabbana in Milan. Coaching staff and club legends turned out alongside a few hundred of the club's youngsters to celebrate the current success of the club's youth teams as the Christmas break approaches. The likes of CEO Adriano Galliani, Primavera coach Cristian Brocchi, and Il Capitano himself, Franco Baresi all offered words of encouragement to the young Milanisti in attendance. This culminated in a lavish video presentation, topped off with a freestyle football show that put Stephane El Shaarawy's juggling skills to shame. Milan rounded off the evening with a message from the senior team for the youth team and a final toast from Galliani to wish everyone a happy Christmas.
Fellow academy graduates Gigi Donnarumma and Davide Calabria were also in attendance, as Milan treated their youngsters to a well-deserved celebration. Excitement has really been building around the club's youth teams over the past couple of years and an indication of their value to Milan such as this can only be a positive thing going forward. Hopefully Milan can back up their words with actions and we'll see many of the players in attendance on Wednesday follow Calabria and Donnarumma into the first team in the near future.
