The AC Milan US Tour Was an Epic Failure

3-0 loss to Olympiakos

5-1 loss to Man City

2-0 loss to Liverpool

But if you caught any of the matches then you know that the actual performances were worse than the scorelines reflect.  Disconnected offensive flourishes and poor defense communication means a -9 goal differential was more than a fluke or anamoly but a warranted result.

Now, I am not going to read to much into as it is the preseason and I expect a large amount of arduous growing pains as the team figures itself out.  I am more concerned about the listless performances from the players and while the formation arguably doesn't suit the entirety of this team, it shouldn't stop a professional athlete from actually trying.  It would appear this team doesn't intend to do anything.  So what should have been a trip to answer some questions related to players like Cristante, Honda and Saponara and where they fit in to Filippo Inzaghi's setup; has provided nothing in terms of solidifying those answers and only increased concerns of important positions not addressed.  Tomorrow we will focus on the tactics, or lack thereof, being displayed in the 4-3-3 at the moment, but for today it was a matter of pointing out a disappointment in the team's progress.
