shingai,
If we dont make CL we dont get money.
to add to your Barca example, in 2003, as we were strolling to our 6th CL title, Barca were struggling in the league but doing quite well in the CL and some were suggesting they could get relegated from La Liga and win CL in same year. However, my point is that they were in a similar position to Milan now, struggling domestically but still able to preform in Europe.
They rebuilt their team on a youth policy and took risks by returning to their roots and playing their cruyff system.
Ancelotti was good for Milan, but his tactics and selection policies weren’t Milan. We should rebuild with a youth policy and based around strong Italian defence mixed with the best attackers from around the globe, be they Italian or otherwise. I think were moving in that direction, It’ll take time because we dont have the $$$ to overhaul a squad in one or two transfer windows. but we’ll be ok.

ps. given seedorfs recent form and Ronaldinho’s decent cameo off the bench, shouldnt they both start on the weekend and pirlo be rested?
Im worried Pirlo will be run into the ground by Leo the same way Carlo did season in season out. I also think it’d motivate him if he had a genuine challenger to his spot in the team.
I also think we should use Seedorf while he is in form, im still skeptical about his ability to perform over a season

pera, Roma have scored many goals this season and are lower on the ladder, I know who I’d prefer to be
Err, Not anymore.

Dhaw,
level on points, so the point remains.
What does it benefit a club to score a thousand goals if they get no points?

i love milan,
but they must be the most disappointing team in history.
the coach is terrible.
no new players except a shitty american defenseman.
and keep making ronaldinho worse…

What happens if you guys lose on the weekend :
- Does Leo get fired and does that open doors for Roberto Mancini ?
- Let’s say if Donadoni gets fired by Napoli by this weekend would you guy’s want him instead of Mancini ?

We didn’t play badly. On another day, with a little bit of luck, we could have won or at least drawn a game like this. Though I believe Leo should have started with Abate instead of Oddo.

Comparing your lackluster play to Roma is way off base.

boo hoo. if roma fans are offended they should support a real team

As bad as Milan is this year, it’s still superior to roma -_-

On Sunday I’d rest Pirlo and Pato; play Seedorf in Pirlo’s position, Abate and Ambro by his side and Ronaldinho behind Pippo and Huntelaar; Zambro as right back, Janks as left. Oddo is simply too horrible to start any games.

patcook, pera, Jovan – that’s not what the milanese are saying. Roma is 9th, Milan 11th. Roma has scored 11 goals, Milan has scored 3. the ultras and regular fans are not happy, they don’t think milan is superior to roma and you can see why.
I’m afraid Leo must share some of the blame along with galliani and the girl-botherer. Spending the summer playing silly tournaments, signing a couple of duds may not have been his fault but cow-towing to seedorf and losing respect and seemingly unable to react to opposition changes.

Roots? Youth policy? Didn’t Milan make another Guinness record by fielding the most geriatric team in known history of top flight football?
Is there is any explanations for Zambro and Oddo appearances? Can’t they see that Seedorf can’t carry this team night in/night out, and as he gets tired he tends to slow the tempo? Wasn’t it clear that Pippo’s presence on the field should have helped KjH?
Ronaldinho appearance felt exactly as someone said – a cameo. Flashes of greatness, but not in sync with others. I liked his turns, and passes (and some ideas), otherwise he was stack in the middle.
Adding two normal full backs, ala Cole@Bosingwa will improve this team significantly and add another dimension.
All in all the game wasn’t so bad, although counting the chances – we were lucky.Posted from

@patcook – I’d prefer to be Roma right now, by scoring goals it gives us fans something to look forward to, instead of a “oh, they’ve scored, that’s us beat”. We’ve scored in 2 games out of 5 this season. Even in preseason we hardly scored any goals. All its doing is adding even more pressure onto our already creaky defence. Nesta can’t do it all himself. He will miss games this season (although I really hope he stays 100% fit and healthy).
We can hardly break down teams as it is before going behind. We get hammered on the counter, so if we go a goal down, we are as good as out at the moment.
Roma certainly don’t look that way to me. Inferior they may be, but they are the ones who are laughing right now.

whats with the Milan vs Roma debate going on here?
Isn’t it bad enough that both clubs are in horribly precarious positions that we need to start debating about who is worse.
I find this entire debate pointless.

guys,
again… i dont know who the real Milan fans are ???.
i’m just wondering why all the baby crying on here when in the end, if we are at the top of the table or the bottom, my love for the Rossoneri doesn’t change.
-
i’m not happy with the team’s play/roster at the moment, but we have been fortunate enough to win MANY MANY things in the last 20 years or so that we shouldn’t really get so bitchy when things aren’t going our way.
-
yes, Berlu seems to have lost his drive to make this team the best. yes, Fester screwed us in the transfer market. yes, Leo is not my top choice for coach…. but damn it, I STILL LOVE THIS TEAM MORE AND MORE EVERY DAY.
-
I am still out to win the scudetto & the CL…
fuk the competition!Posted from

Correction: I LOVE THIS CLUB more & more everyday.

Oddo, Zambrotta & Janku should get stabbed in the eyes. then fired, and force Zambro’s wife to undergo boob reduction.
get us R/L backs who can actually run, i dont care from where, italy, brazil or the moon. we need a few.
so far i dont blame Leo, i actually think he’s doing a decent job with the bunch of players he has.

the who is less worse between Roma and Milan is like a competition of the skinniest fat guy. Either way, you lose.

For the sake of calcio, I hope you guys get it together. Seeing Juve and Inter at the top of the table makes me sick. Serie A needs Milan and Roma to make the top 4, the rest of the league, for as well as they may do in league, are just not built for Europe. Forza Roma, and c’mon Milan

Josh with all due respect, I dont see Roma as built for Europe either, and I am OK with Juventus and Inter, but we really need to do is be happy for the likes of Samp and Genoa who are really making strides at being more conpetitive, yes Milan is playing poorly but the right clubs are stepping up!
