I am also wondering about the "where does Ronaldinho fit" question. Good to see him smiling and playing reasonably well yesterday, but all he got was 15 minutes of essentially garbage time in a contest that was already decided by the strong play of other teammates. It's hard to imagine that this is what Milan had in mind when they spent 32 million(?) for him; it's also hard to imagine that Ronnie will keep smiling if his minutes stay this way.

By the by, I'm not saying "we won, so looks like we don't need Ronaldinho". I'm just curious to see how he could fit into a formation like tonight's. Because I absolutely loved the Pato-Marco B. duo with Kaka supporting and Seedorf running the midfield. I liked how Kaka and Seedorf also interchanged positions frequently, which is something that isn't usually done with Pirlo on the field, so I guess I might even be asking how Pirlo could fit into this set-up.

Of course, we could very well just be doing what we did last season: win big one day and loose shockingly the next. This formation and those same 11 could go out and loose to Reggina on Wednesday and I'd be eating my speculative words.

So in Rnd 3 alone we have seen goals of the season candidates: Maicon's goal against Toro, and then Zambrotta's and Kaka's simply mind-ecstacizing (yes I just made that word up and yes I'm quite proud of it) golazos.

Add to that Del Piero's insane free kick in the CL too!

Oh, and of course I have to mention the one and only PATO!!!!!!! (notice the 7 exclamation marks, I'm a dork). Seriously, what more does the kid have to show in order to get real quality playing time. And, I know my harsh anti-Sheva stance is a giveaway on this, but I really don't see why Borriello and Pato should ever sit on the bench if they're healthy. They just bring so much more to the pitch than Sheva (this version, mind you, not 5 years ago Sheva) or Inzaghi (same critique).

Also, this match makes me feel a bit undecided about Ronaldinho. I won't lie: while I'm excited he's here, I never really thought we NEEDED him. Games like this and the game against Zurich leave me wondering where Dinho can fit. I also liked Gattuso and Ambrosini doing the dirty work while Seedorf took Pirlo's spot. It worked out nicely, yeah? I suppose this is what having depth feels like.
