If we could only play like this week in and week out, what a game!
The sight of Gattuso battling in the midfield wearing a strapping on a still injured wrist was tearing jerking. I love Rino, and God forbid if he ever needs a kidney transplant, he can count on me.

highlights for me – ambro’s saves, abbiati’s performance, gattuso’s incredible spirit and the fact that even tho he didn’t score boriello tried to contribute in other ways – got a couple of good saves and dispossessed lazio players in midfield

Shehan – after our recent performances (i didnt catch the Zurich match) it was just really good to see them play decently!
Yor spot on regrading the defence, i said yesterday that the key would be if Carlo could patch together the backline and Janks & Zambro were really good today!
Bit nervey towards the end when Borrielo helped clear up a lose ball.
But i was happy with wat i saw today and prayn for wen we will have the entire squad available coz then we could be looking pretty!
Good to see The ‘Dorf pull his head outta his ass! He put in a sold performance today – good reflexes that lead to his goal.

Lol @ Nina. Rino def looks like he has FINALLY got his bite back! He def wasnt anonymous as he had been of late.
Sam – Abbiati made one or two really sweet saves (you know for sure that Dida would have let them in!) but would have loved to have seen Borri score cause he was def puttn the work in.
God – feel like i can breathe now! Phew.

not on the same page as shehan on our full backs…fantastic goal by zambro, but we have to understand that our cbs are not the age / skill for the fbs to be making runs down the flanks and leaving them exposed…i think kaladze was at fault at the zarate goal and the fact that there were no people at the backline…till we can get stronger people at the back, the fbs need to be there shoring up the backline!

as an aside, am in ticino for the weekend (that’s the italian part of switzerland) and there is only 1 pub in this town that shows serieA matches – so i went in the afternoon to watch the inter match – around 20 inter tifosi there – i kept on cheering torino during the match much to their disgust, pissed them off pretty much – so when i go at night to see our match, ALL of them are there waiting for me to land up and oh my god, the jeers and the taunts exchanged in the first half – the second half of course, had me laughing loudly at them – my husband has now vowed never to go with me to see any match!!!

zambro’s goal was amazing, so was kaka’s! I just hope they beat Inter next week….I’m really starting to hate Jose

Lol @ Steph, i see has won over someone else!
I dont know what Carlo fed them but it did the trick, the team looked & played with genuine enthusiasm and passion today and looked totally different to the team last week.
Kaka was also back as he jinked his way around the opposition 2nite, last week he looked like he couldn’t be bothered.

sam, that definitely is a fair conclusion. but i think the fact that ambrosini and gattuso were absolutely destroying lazio everywhere on the pitch, they made up for the space left behind by our fullbacks.
kaladze should have been the one marking zarate on that goal, but it was definitely the fault of the group on that goal. jankulovski was out of position, keeping zarate onside; if the collective organization is no good, it indicates to a collective fault rather than an individual one. kaladze should’ve and could’ve marked zarate during his run down the middle, but i think the biggest fault for zarate’s goal was abbiati who was beaten at the near post.
nina, what is “tearing jerking”?

so why are we playing reggina mid-week?

why?
what do you mean why?
lol

i think jose just says these things to spice things up and to play mind games with the other teams…tho the crack on rino was really unwarranted – expect tho since we have a week left to play them…
BTW, his wrist has swelled up again and he will need to go for another check up – hope he is fine, we need him so much just to fire up the rest of the team as well – ambro and he are really the soul now of milanPosted from

So in Rnd 3 alone we have seen goals of the season candidates: Maicon’s goal against Toro, and then Zambrotta’s and Kaka’s simply mind-ecstacizing (yes I just made that word up and yes I’m quite proud of it) golazos.
Add to that Del Piero’s insane free kick in the CL too!
Oh, and of course I have to mention the one and only PATO!!!!!!! (notice the 7 exclamation marks, I’m a dork). Seriously, what more does the kid have to show in order to get real quality playing time. And, I know my harsh anti-Sheva stance is a giveaway on this, but I really don’t see why Borriello and Pato should ever sit on the bench if they’re healthy. They just bring so much more to the pitch than Sheva (this version, mind you, not 5 years ago Sheva) or Inzaghi (same critique).
Also, this match makes me feel a bit undecided about Ronaldinho. I won’t lie: while I’m excited he’s here, I never really thought we NEEDED him. Games like this and the game against Zurich leave me wondering where Dinho can fit. I also liked Gattuso and Ambrosini doing the dirty work while Seedorf took Pirlo’s spot. It worked out nicely, yeah? I suppose this is what having depth feels like.

By the by, I’m not saying “we won, so looks like we don’t need Ronaldinho”. I’m just curious to see how he could fit into a formation like tonight’s. Because I absolutely loved the Pato-Marco B. duo with Kaka supporting and Seedorf running the midfield. I liked how Kaka and Seedorf also interchanged positions frequently, which is something that isn’t usually done with Pirlo on the field, so I guess I might even be asking how Pirlo could fit into this set-up.
Of course, we could very well just be doing what we did last season: win big one day and loose shockingly the next. This formation and those same 11 could go out and loose to Reggina on Wednesday and I’d be eating my speculative words.

Congrats to Milan and thanks for beating idiotic Lazy-o!!
Now go ahead and beat that scumbag jose mourinho and InterScum next weekend! Ya’ll rocked today!Posted from

I am also wondering about the “where does Ronaldinho fit” question. Good to see him smiling and playing reasonably well yesterday, but all he got was 15 minutes of essentially garbage time in a contest that was already decided by the strong play of other teammates. It’s hard to imagine that this is what Milan had in mind when they spent 32 million(?) for him; it’s also hard to imagine that Ronnie will keep smiling if his minutes stay this way.
