Milan v. Fiorentina
By: Gianfranco | January 17th, 2009My apologies for not doing a proper preview for today’s match, in fact with all this Kaka madness I am as guilty as the next for overlooking a very dangerous and real opponent in the Viola. Ted has chosen the comedic route, even if it is at our expense, at the Fiorentina, and if you have not visited that site in the past it is a nice little jewel in the Offside.com Serie A blog ranks, and always worth a visit.
I will not be around for today’s game, I will be attending a wedding (not mine), but I will have a post match recap tomorrow, and hopefully no news on the Kaka front. I am sure Ro chose the picture below, because well, it is appropriate, but more because the more I think about it, the more I want it to be a lasting image…FORZA MILAN

My take on the Kaka question.

Wow, if we didn’t have this horrid Kaka issue on our hands, this would be an AMAZING footballing weekend. Merday lose, Napoli lose, Roma win in the last minute(I know, only I’m happy about that), and Juve are 1-0 down to Lazio right now!
Also, this bullshit Galliani is spouting about Kaka being “irreplaceable”?! Ya, that’s Milan say “screw you all, we keeping the money.”
Damn, juve equalized.

Fadayn – can’t wait to see the vid. The atmosphere must have been amazing, very different than most matches. Totally agree with you on Beckham.
John Silver – interesting article. The thing is, I think what will happen is the scenario that you take for granted. We’ll buy no one, stick Seedorf or Ronaldinho in Kaka’s place, play the game around Pirlo and the results will be what they’ve been for the past two years.

glad to see that pato is finally starting to look the part up front, he was class yesterday. i hope all this kaka bullshit doesnt overshadow the fact that the best and most loyal player in the history of milan is finally hanging up his boots at the end of the year. maldini is the true soul of milan because his loyalthy didnt have to be bought for 8 million a year, he never thought about anybody else but milan and that is how a true captain and club icon behaves.

This is just from my camera phone last night, curva sud 2o Annello Blu – anyway don’t mind the quality or the fact that it’s sideways, I’m tired and going to bed so might try and put somemore together properly tomorrow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGxyQm3J2co
The whole stadium was waving euros at Galliani and singing “Non si vende Kaka” and “lo compriamo noi” (”don’t sell Kaka” & “we will buy him”). They actually had to protect Galliani from the people trying to get to him to protest at half time.Posted from

Haha, they are fucking shite those albiceleste fuckers. I woke up expecting the worst, but instead we still have our man for now, and Sfinter lost. Let the good times roll

Anyone up for a laugh? Go over to slums and see what they’re saying. Look especially for MAD and Dave, two proven fuckwits in the past talking about how much the refs are helping us and Juve, like Sfinter are fighting against the injustice. Who would have thought that serie a’s heroes would take the form of some argentinians, Chiellini’s bitch and a coke-head brazilian. I feel so safe now

Folks I have a very fundamental question:
Is the club forcing him to go, or is Kaka actually interested in the move?
There seem to be conflicting stories everywhere.

Rossoneri4Life – he doesnt want to go.
It appears to be a combination of things.
1. His dad wants him to go.
2. Milan (it appears) want the money from ManCity.
3. Kakas agent (may) be pushing for a higher wage should Kaka stay.Posted from

Kakas meant to be making his decision today!

antonio, i didnt think i would ever read such garbage about soccer in my life but im not suprised it came from an inter fan as it has been proven to me by a lot of their fans that they know nothing about soccer. for once i will actually cheer utd on against them cos they could embarass that inter team.

Kaka came out for the warmup thumping his chest and saluting the curva. He applauded the Kaka songs during warmup. At kickoff he spent about a minute tying his laces – i think he was a bit choked to tell you the truth. They say he broke down crying at training on friday. He certainly had the look of somebody not happy to leave. The support from the stands was excellent.

Ive got tickets for the friendly against rangers in a fortnight but now im really scared at the thought of watchn them AFTER Kaka has left.
As last time, im looking for ideas for a banner to take along (promise i will send through the pics this time Gian!)
Assuming that Kaka has been sold (read, stabbed in the back) is there anything in italian someone can suggest – along with a translation.

When Kaka won the two trophies last December his dad went to Milan and said raise his contract. Well Milan can’t because he is already the higest paid footballer on the team. His dad goes oh it’s like that well Man City are interested in him, and they are prepared to offer him more. Well Milan goes sorry but we can’t raise his contract anymore, so that’s where this whole thing started.
It is said that Kaka’s contract includes use of two houses, 4 company cars for him and his family, and 1 mil euro for first class trips to and from brazil for him and his family.
His father’s eyes apparently when he saw that Kaka won those two trophies changed to $$$ hearing only kaching.
If what I read was true I can’t believe a father would do that to his son.

I am a bit surpised that Kaka’s dad wants so much money for him. Kaka isnt pushing for it so why bother. Its nonsense. I hope Kaka can overrule his father and agent and stay at Milan.
