someone commented earlier that pippo was a poor sub and that flamini should have been inserted for dinho or borriello. i agree with the first idea, but not the second because cagliari was playing well enough to tie the game (even if flamini went in) in which case we would want guys in that could create the winning goal.

what a game guys, here are my thoughts,
Dida: there is always room for improvement.
Oddo: did well the first 5 minutes then disappeared.
Thiago silva: the only decent defender on the pitch for Milan.
Kaladze: 2 goals gift of Kaladze, I understand the guy owns a resturant in Milan that the team always hangs out at, but com’n.
Zambro: had some flashes going forward, still has to prepare for Wednsday, so im taking it easy on him, considering his corner kick that he got after a run on defenders got Marcos goal, milans 2nd.
Pirlo: WHAT THE FUCK, the worst game ever, worst everything, the guy was not there…..at all.
Seedorf: I will say this, I eat my words, this guy needs to retire here. he holds our attack together, he is a leader on the field that everyone loves to undermine! I love it.
Ambro: Strong in midfield, however got caught a lot on the counter.
(BTW, both flam and Gattuso are injured, Flam twisted his ankle in training.)
Borriello: in Serie A this guy does well, however I still do not think he is Champions league type of striker.
Pato: Genius!!! to say the least, there was a moment between him, seedorf and Ronnie that i almost came in my pants…too bad a defender slid on to the ball before it got to Pato.
Ronnie: I love although he still cant take defenders on, he is tracking back, he is fighting for the ball, and although tends to go down easily its not as frequent. having said so, Today I think he is the man of the match for me….actually I take that back, Split it between Ronnie and Seedorf.

I love the days when the main topic of argument after a game is who was the MoM.

lol K, lets hope it stays that way, lets get into the Champions league mode now and secure first place with a win against the French on Wednsday.

Kaldze should NEVER EVER……EVER TOUCH the pitch for Milan again!!!
He was pathetic!!! Pato is becoming what we all thought he would, Dinho becoming what I though we would & Dorf has turned the clock back and has become what none of us thought he could. (with the exception of a small few)
P.S. – After he scored even Pato even had to bow at the percision and quality of the Dinho pass. Question is can he take it up another level and maintain it for the rest of this season.
@ Avia – Get your Dorf shirt yet??? Cause he forcing all Milan fans to think hard about getting one…myself included.

AJ – “I understand the guy owns a resturant in Milan that the team always hangs out at, but com’n.”
REALLY?? I may make a point of paying his restaurant a visit (with a hammer in my back pocket!) next time im in Milan! Grrr!
“there was a moment between him, seedorf and Ronnie that i almost came in my pants”
YUP, i think i actually did LMAO!
I did enjoy watching seedorf out there bossing the team around, directing players and passes
Yup, i said it!I totally reveled in watching the players bask in the surge of confidence that appeared to envelope them all as the goals started to go in
And Pato WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was fucking awesome! BRAVO!
Holy shit, if we could only cement Abbiati and Nesta permanently into the squad we could actually finish top of our CL group (and its what we should be aiming for!)
Ah, good times folks, good times!

kaladze was at fault for ALL 3 genoa goals.
the first one was obvious, he was caught ball watching like the idiot that he is.
the second one, he got caught with possession INSIDE THE FUCKING BOX. its like come the fuck on man. you’re playing for milan, not a circus sideshow. you boot that ball out of there under pressure. we lost possession, they won a throw in, packed the box and scored.
and the third goal, he kept him onside. kaladze wasn’t working the offside trap at all. he was shit. he was absolute bullshit.
it would’ve been better if he had gotten himself sent off. its unbelievable how much he sucks now. favalli wouldve done a better job. kaladze was probably dreaming of scoring another brace for the azzuri, the fucktard that he is. idiot.

It will be interesting to see if Leo continues to use Kaladze as the first choice after Nesta and Silva.
I think that one of the real positives about Leo’s management style so far is that he is prepared to give something a go, give it a chance to work, but then try something else if its not working out.
I would love to see Bonera get a chance if Nesta or Silva need a rest/are suspended. Though that’ll depend on fitness.
Theres so many injuries atm i cant remember who is or isn’t, but what were Leo’s choices other than Kaladze at centre back?

EIther Favalli or someone from the primevera, we had two players on the bench due to the Flamini and Gattusos injuries… although Strasser got about 8 12 minutes including injury time.

We live by the sword and we will die by the sword.
Although all three Cagliary goals came from mistakes the whole setup is a huge mistake. This team allows waay too much freedom for opponent attack, combine it with out of form Kaladze – and your highway to hell is paved.
AC Milan Cagliari
Shots (on Goal) 12(5) 17(10)
Fouls 17 23
Corner Kicks 1 3
Offsides 3 2
Time of Possession 59% 41%
Yellow Cards 4 3
Red Cards 0 0
Saves 7 1Oh yeah, we won again. It works. Lets smile. Lets freaking come. But tell me, didn’t you shit your pants prior to your collective orgasms??? I almost did. Five clear goal scoring opportunities for Cagliary, plus very close waver on the penalty appeal, all this BEFORE they scored their second.
Personal critique:
What the hell Pippo was doing on the field? Did he break some record or something, because NON of his abilities helped in the last stages. He can’t run, can’t dribble and Milan weren’t posed to attack en masse for him to sneak through opponents lines for another Pippo-esque goal. Why not to put Abate up front, similarly to Serginho for super fast counters??? With Pato and Boriello out all wind was taken from the sails. Why??? Is Leonardo tired of his job?
Pirlo have got his yellow during the last seconds of the game – to me, it should have been red a long time ago. It looked like he took some lessons from Rino and decided to try them during this game – didn’t really work. He made like 20 fouls, with more then two asking for yellow.
But again, its all about setup.
Positives:
I would like to congratulate Cagliary and their fan base – you have great team, a pleasure to watch. Hope you will hope us to dent some holes in Juve and Inter aspirations, you are more then capable.
Dinho who??? Impotent at best. His only highlight is a pass to Pato, but then again Lazzari and Matri combined even better for their first.
Seedorf.
Borriello – a fucking war horse. MOTM.
Pato – needs to keep ball on the floor during his dribbles. His goal was awesome. A lot of space for improvement.
Silva did his job, as well as Ambro. Oddo lost his man, but his movement in the fore part for nice and refreshing. Zambro’s wrong leg impedes him on the wrong flank impedes him, but he is soldier.
Dida saved our hides once more but he have to change his gloves more often.
See ya later and Forza Milan!

regarding Kaladze, if Bonera & Favalli are both out i would rather see Gooch out there instead of Kaladze
Seriously, Kaladze is a fucktard

Should sound like that: Zambro’s wrong leg on the wrong flank impedes him, but he is soldier.

How on earth Carlo managed to save us from relegation without nesta and silva last season?HOW?

we had maldini

lol seriously, we had Maldini… and i think we had the second best defense in the league.
i think this new system just comes out to say how difficult it is for defenders. there should be more credit given to our back 4 (bar that fucktard kaladze) for how they handle the pressure. with nesta there we wouldnt have given up 3 goals at all.
but kudos to thiago silva, it takes a lot of discipline to play the 6-4 system we are playing, we are leaking goals, but we are winning too.
initially the problem was lack of goals but excellent defense. now its too many goals but poor defense. i hope the next change will bring a balance of the two. the only way is to replace seedorf with a technically strong box-to-box midfielder.
seedorf is good, but until we have somebody who can consistently run up and down the field without getting caught out of position, we’ll keep leaving the defense with a lot to handle…

How quickly we forget what this year was supposed to be about Chubby. Re-building, not winning fucking championships. Hell some people were even talking about bottom half finishes which was just fucking ridiculous, though it just goes to show that expectations weren’t high for Leo with this squad. But guess what, we’re winning games man (tocca ferro), im having a lot more fun this year compared to last and we’re climbing up the table, so chill the fuck out man and remember what this year is primarily meant to be about and appreciate what our (lets be honest) sub standard squad is doing for us. FORZA MILAN!

Antonio really sums this up nicely.
I mean, I think we should still have the highest expectations for this team both domestically and in the CL, but you also have to put things into perspective.
everything considered, things are looking good right now. so just enjoy it while it lasts.

This was a great win, we fought hard and showed alot of grit and confidence. But as some of you have noted there is trouble in them dar hills. Just beneath the surface lies trouble. Without Nesta our defense is porous. Our fullbacks are our major weakness and without help it’ll only get worse. Pirlo looks like he doesn’t give a shit anymore and Ambro doesn’t have the legs to play all day everyday. Just yesterday Leo said Rino ain’t goin’ no where, well I hope he does. His play has slipped and he’s become injury prone, plus he doesn’t get along with the gaffer. I hope we pick up some good talent ths winter or we could be in trouble come Jan. or Feb.

Ok this was great game to watch. Had all sorts of ups and downs and in the end we won!
We are doing fabulously in attack. Dinho and Pato have been uping their form in each game. Its a great pleasure to watch.
I was really impressed with Borriello’s work ethic today. He made his physical presence felt in the attack today, worked as a good target man.
Seedorf was stellar, though I could see he is getting old and cant run box to box anymore. We might want to look at Hernanez or someone like that to maybe replace him in the future.
Capitano was solid in midfield. But its asking too much I think for him to run at players day in day out for the whole season. We need our injured players back, and hopefully he can do it until then. Btw, Biondini isnt a bad buy in this department. Flamini works hard and does well but doesnt quite have the physical presence. Maybe hes still young for these kinds of roles that need experience.
Pirlo…wtf. I am a fan of this guy, but today’s perfomance…abysmal, absolutely worst I’ve seen him play. It was like he wasnt there at all…didnt know what to do and where to go. He also wasted a chance Dinho created(cherry on top). Hopefully he was only conserving energy for CL;). In January, Becks is gonna be here so hopefully that will give Pirlo a bigger motivation to fight for first team rights.
Defense. It was in shambles except for Silva of course. We did really miss Nesta. Kaladze’s contract should be ended in January. There is no need for this guy to stick around. Favalli would have been better than this I think. Maybe we should get Maldini back in case this happens again. Or even 49 yr old Baresi would be better than Kaladze. Fullbacks have been problem for us for a long time. I thought they did relatively well for whatever low expectations I have for them. I think Leo preferred the old guys over the youngsters cuz we had freakin Kaladze in defense today. Didnt want any naive mistakes, but alas, Kaladze fucked it up all by his fucktard self.
Subs. subbing in pipo did not make any sense what so ever, unless Leo wanted pipo to run around a bit as a workout to get him fit for CL(cant think of anything else). I was expecting Huntelaar to be given a chance. The poor guy has been warming the bench for so long. He has started like twice this season. Abate needs to calm the hell down. Hes getting himself into trouble a lot these days. We need his fast legs. He needs to stay out of refrees books. I would have prefered Antonini to be given a chance instead of Abate today. Needless yellow.Posted from

Chub; I generally like your analyses, but you seem to never give Dinho his proper due. Impotent at best? You gotta be kidding…

fifaguy, i agree. Chubby was a bit hard on poor old dinho. This was one of his best performances for Milan yet. He really showed glimpses of his old self. As for Pirlo, Milanista 37 touched on a good point, maybe he’s conserving his energy for the CL game. As players age they get to know when to run and when to conserve energy. I too was disapointed that Hunter didn’t play but as Milanista said again, Leo is probably thinking that he’ll need Pippo more so he put him in to keep him warm and loose.
