I never really expected Milan to win the Scudetto this year, because deep down I know, this team is not strong enough.
Even when we came to within 6pts of Inter(after they lost 3:1 to Atlanta),I said that we were almost back into the title race. Covering that 6pt gap is near impossible for this team, considering the no. of unnecessary points that we drop. It will take a miracle for us to win.

Shingai, different people on this blog have their own opinion of expressing themselves. It may include declaring that we suck if we cant beat reggina, but we are the best if we beat Inter. Let them express it(whether its right or wrong).

How do you read the upcoming Derby? Inter have changed a lot from the first Derby. Mancini, Chivu, Viera, Quaresma and even Materazzi are either gone or will not figure this weekend.

In truth Inter are a lot better than the team that had two shots on target and two men sent off last september.
Back then, Milan had just turned a corner from their start of season disappointments with a convincing win against Lazio. The Brazilian triumvirate had stuttered in the early matches but was hitting the ground running against Inter and it was a Ronnie-Kaka 1-2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qxv4Fk8Liak that broke the deadlock.

Unfortunately Milan's post christmas game plan seems to be one of getting the ball out wide and crossing it for the big centre forward they don't possess instead of sticking to the kind of incisive passing and movement of the pre-Christmas Milan that was topping the table.

Missing Kaka is serious but Milan is far from a one-man team. Reggina's ability to park a bus in front of goal and frustrate a milan team including Kaka was infuriating for those present but that will certainly not be Inter's game plan and the attacking nature of both teams should see a more fluid game. Dinho will get more opportunity for threading balls for Pato who, in turn, should enjoy the game more than against Reggina where his inexperience showed - his best moment was winning a penalty.

Hope to see some of this next weekend...

im am a Milan purist, which means i cant help but be upset when we drop such crucial points at this stage in the title race going into the derby. Kaka is going to be severely missed, but like i said earlier we have plenty of Quality capable of thrashing the Merda if they play well. if u think i ever said i doubted Milan your Crazy, Dorf and Dinho are just gonna have to man up for this one in order to not make Kaka's absence felt thats all im saying!

Carlo's saying the team looked sluggish.
Just makes me shake my head as to the need of a midweek friendly... oh wait, we earned some money! Great.

Look, in order to be a champion, there is a process that must take place. Not just the physical preparation, but the mental preparation as well. As a group the players must learn how to respond to difficult situations. Not only that, players must have (and accept) a role within the squad. You must have a few guys willing and capable of being a gamebreaker - a player who can put his head down and beat a couple of guys, or make the thru passes, etc. You have to have players buy into a team mentality, and most importantly, buy into the coach's philosophy.

Milan is missing several key elements - particularly team chemistry and the players buying into Carlo's philosophy - which is part of the reason why they've always seemed to stutter after a good string of results. I think it also shows that the team is too satisfied too quickly, and don't approach each match with something new to improve upon - on both sides of the ball Milan quickly falls back onto bad (losing/drawing) habits such as lack of off the ball movement on O and letting opposing strikers wander unmonitored in their own box when on D.

@ Hana.

What? To be a real fan you gotta be a cynic? A cynic or a negative-minded person? I don't care who we have, or who our opponents have. We're Milan! We are SUPPOSED to win every single match we play. Kaka is not the only player at Milan, so I expect us to put up a good fight and win against Inter.

We're 3rd in the standings. If we're shit, man, serie A is full of shits worse than us.

I don't mind criticizing a player, but please, don't inject blind hatred into the discussion. I'm amazed a lot of people can complaint about Seedorf missing the goal and blaming him for the draw. Dude, there are others who played a bad game yesterday. Far worse than Seedorf, who I thought played a decent game.

We played great yesterday. But, Reggina played a fantastic defensive game, and kudos to them.
