Little Diversion

By: Gianfranco | March 31st, 2009

International breaks are big time mood killers for me lately. With Italy getting geared up to entertain our old pal Trap, and the next Milan match still a few days away I thought I would do a little 08-09 season Q&A, obviously answer up to this point in the season and feel free to explain your answers a bit. Quite frankly I can’t even begin to look at the rumor mill or I grow anxious, so this hopefully is a nice break for you as well.

1. MVP so far this Season?
2. Biggest Injury?
3. Best Moment?
4. Worst Moment?
5. Surprise Player of the Campaign?
6. Worst Loss?
7. Best Win?
8. Carletto stays or goes?
9. Dinho stays or goes?
10. Kaka stays or goes?

I’ll take a couple as well. Can you make one in the traditional red and black and another in white? :D

fifguy; what he was, yes indeed. What he can still be? Ugh, not sure about that.

The reason I am extremely pissed off at him is only b/c he is capable of so much, but is doing so little, and the problem is partly Milan’s system, but also partly HIS fault and he’s doing LITTLE to prove that he really cares. GO AWAY if you don’t wanna play!

i think that ancelotti will give him another chance at the beginning of next season. if he’s not fit and hungry by that time it’s over for him at milan and pretty much anywhere else.

Carletto has possibly the best players in the world and can’t utilize them to the max. He’s the problem not them. An example is Dinho, he is so talented and quik on response to move the ball around but only 2 to 3 players in the team can move have positioning abilities to set up beautiful plays. Look at Barcelona the way they bring the ball up into the zone, beautiful passing well sinconized. If they make Dinho play, Shevi play, Flamini play, sit Pirlo he does to many mistakes this team will then be the ultimate team. Imagine Shevi front with Pato then Dinho,Kaka,Beckham then Seedorf,Flamini,Zambrotta then maldini,Senderos and Dida. Imagine playing these guys together for next five to six games then you’ll see a hugh difference in AC Milan. I’m sorry but Carletto to stupid. Most of all boring type of stratagies, no finesse, no style. Bring in Ryjaard former Barcalona champion Mgr, former AC Milan superstar, much better player than Carletto. Then you’ll see what football is all about. AC Milan will then destroy any team on earth. Carletto should of been fired long ago.

reading the news on g***.com recently where Maldini talk about his retirement is saddening, I wish I could be in the stadium for his farewell match but damn economy prevents that from happening.

I am sorry stephen, but what you said was just completely ridiculous.

Firstly, it doesnt matter how much a better player rijkaard was than ancelotti, Ancelotti will always be the better coach.

Shevchenko? That is the guy you think will make milan the team that dominates? He has had opportunities and has looked a shadow of his former self. Hell the formation you named bar kaka, flamini and pato is the whose who of players that should not be leading the way forward.

No finesse? No Style? You may be bored by his style, but you cant say he has none. Either that or you havent watched milan for long enough. Carletto’s style has been instilled in this milan side since he has been here and it has won us a lot of trophies.

I am sorry, you sound like a dinho fan boy. I was never that big a fan, but I always wanted him to succeed at Milan and there isnt a person here who would say otherwise. Because him succeeding would help milan succeed and we all want that. But if he isnt showing enough, as usual, the fan boys will go after the coach. The guy hasnt shown a damn thing in about 2 and half years and yet for the fan boys the blame lies on everyone but him.

And please save me the “if there were others with more movement, he would do better.” Because I remember when dinho was at his best he had better movement than anyone else on the field. So for now to want everyone else to move around him you would have to admit that the movement aspect of his game is done and dusted. And that would mean that he is not the player he used to be.

Well, thats what we all know, anyway.

Dinho is past, it`s because of his mentalitiy. He did some great things, but now he is past it. He cen`t adapt and motivate himself. Adriano has similar mentality problems. Maybe even Robinho. They all want to be like Romario, who performed miracles and “didn`t even have to train hard.” He had more playing than training minutes in his career. Samba and goals.
Well, the times are different and Romario was a phenomenom.

I agree, Milams, that it looks bleak, but the guy is only 29 and there is still a chance. Even he must now realize that it is getting to the point of “now or never…”

Btw, if ayone can help, it’d really be great:
I’m going to Milan with a coupld of friends to see them Milan-Roma game at the end of may. Will it realistically be possible to get tickets when we arrive on the friday, or if not, what would be the best way to get tickets from out of the country? On another note, some of the guys going are diavoli fans, but I’d ofcourse prefer to see the game with the roma tifosi. How can tickets be acquired for that? Thx!

fifaguy the sad fact of the matter is every game that isnt now puts us one game closer to never…we all needed him to suceeded, and in that regard he has failed.

On a side note maybe the Milan/Brazil love affair is showing cracks.

I’M SORRY K you’re the idiot, i’ve been saying for yrs milan needs some intelligent players, these plyrs don’t know how to move w/out the ball they can make a run from midfield. pirlo… if he is the kind of midfielder everyone say he his, he should score more goals per season. but he don’t, coz he don’t know how to or he can’t, no 1 talks about this but all over dinho a midfielder who have scored 10 goals in limited apprs so don’t go making dinho the scrapgoat you hyprocrits, when ur kaka & ur pirlo & ur seedorf inzaghi is still there from a team that fail the year before.
