It is almost here…
By: Gianfranco | February 11th, 2009For the first time that I can remember the Derby is more about players missing, than those actually playing. The usual cast of characters that have made Derbies between Inter and Milan epic, find themselves out of the match through injuries and lack of form. It is hard to swallow without Rino and Kaka, but even the lack of Materazzi, for better or for worse, gives the Derby a same place different faces kind of feel.
I would like to think that Milan has the players to step in and fill the void. Ronaldinho will have a chance to show that he can in fact be a gamer and put his stamp on a game without Kaka present, while David Beckham has added a new dimension to the spot once occupied by arguably one of the best DM’s in the World. This video should help remind any of the naysayers of Rino’s presence both on and off the pitch. These players will surely be missed, but it is games like these that help create new stars, new memories, and hopefully another notch for Milan in the Derby standings!
Special thanks to Milan Offside regular Mike aka Mele for finding this gem. Believe it or not someone even gave him a blog! If you are a fan of Football Manager, then you need to check it out here.

Offtopic, but I said my school is playing our biggest rival tomorrow night. So i want to make a big sign to sneak into the game. Anyone have any good ideas for what I should have it say?
The town we are playing is Belmont, their color is maroon. If anyone has any creative ideas it would be great! The can of course be offensive, but it’s a school event so nothing too blunt. The more clever and subtle the better

Gian – well summed up regarding points over style.
As any good gameshow host knows, points make prizes!
Im glad that you nailed Carlo too, even the die hard Carlo fans (if there are any left!) know how badly he handles having to move away from his fave formation or favorite players and this has cost us time and time again, hence 3rd place.
Inter have more of their regulars back for sunday and looking like they are all fired up.
We’ve got to count on slowdrof! Shiiiiiiit!

E – hmm, that slight dig @ roma has made me raise an eyebrow in respect! Im putting away the flash-bang grenades – (its getting waaaaay too smokey in here) but may bring them back out post derby lol!
Mike – why not make mention of a famous victory (ala milan – inter 6-0 ouch!)

right E, and your originality has no bounds. you’re really cracking me up here with your down syndrome comment…
gian, my apologies for being quite the shit stirrer today. but stupidity annoys me. perpetual stupidity even more so. although, its always fun to take the piss every now and again, especially with inter merda. all in a day’s work.

Samuel, cant thank you enough for the praise, and though I dont say as much as I should it is the discussion that goes on here (save the personal attacks and roman plague) that brings my ideas further and makes for solid posts, you keeps keep discussion flowing because most of all you have a ton of quality knowledge and no the difference between being a fan and fan-boy/girl. Thanks again…so know that we all hugged it out, my recap will be up in the AM, and if Ro is around I need to know how you want to handle the match photo, I have come to rely on them and I want to know if you have any quality ideas cooked up seeing that it is Paolo last’s derby and the plethora of InterMerda pictures are pricelessly hilarious.

* I try my best to be* and Ranjeet Kaladze was so bad in the first half of the season that I’d put him right up there on the level of Dorf, Senderos in terms of horrible performances.

Ronnie can be the determine factor this sunday…
He is not doing bad actually….
But he have to compete with Kaka for the position and so far Kaka is the better player…
The formation changing when Carletto decides to play Seedorf as Kaka supporter in midfields have also ruin his chance to involve more in Milan’s game…
Dont forget the fact he stole Kaka’s spot in the team early in the season and become our top scorer back then…
He looks impressive in the Brazil vs Italy game…
I always belive in him…later
