dinho played fine and was very dangerous in the 2nd half; his sub was puzzling to me.

fifaguy, about the inho sub – leo wanted to bring inzaghi on to create extra pressure in the box, and whe nyou think about it, who else is he gonna take off? flamini is our only runner in midfield, pirlo and seedorf are needed to control the center and move the ball forward, taking off pato is out of the question…that leaves dinho.

i did query the Dinho sub and agree it would have been preferable to see him stay on but as Jovan neatly sums it up we needed a sharper edge in the box

(omg, im defending leaving Seedorf on the pitch?! im gona go lay down for a while! i feel light headed)

“the only good point im taking away from today is the HEART that Milan have showed recently
even after conceding so early on we kept at it and didnt drop our heads”

actually, avia, i dnt think its just heart. If you only count second half results, were top of the table tied with fiorentina on 18 points.
    http://stats.football365.com/dom/ITA/SA/sndhalf.html

If you only count first half performances, were dead last on four points, 2nd last is livorno on 8 and first is Bari on 17, a point above inter.
    http://stats.football365.com/dom/ITA/SA/fsthalf.html

Theres clearly an issue getting settled early. Perhaps for the first 20 minutes or even the first half we have to sit back and defend our arses off, absorb pressure, conserve energy and then do whatever it is weve been doing so well in the second half.

An encouraging statistic so far is that we havent dropped any points during games (ie once we take a lead or draw level we dont lose it). So if we can keep teams to 0-0 for long enough for us to get the first goal we’ll be set.

    thats my theory anyway….

Man what a game, Nesta is one of the best defenders ever to play the game. In fact, Pele called him the best player in the world just three years ago. Probably the only true thing Pele has ever said. lol

Borriello is becoming prominent; Dida’s save was kick-ass; Nesta is the sh*t; we were unlucky with most shots on goal, they went straight to the goal keeper.

KJ, what is this REAL table?

In any event, palermo milan and fio are tied fourth and since head to head is what counts in italy you cant really say anyone has the advantage until theyve played eachother twice

    Specifically, the positives;

    - NESTA. wow.
    - Dida played great. That last save = EPIC.
    - Pirlo is back to form.
    - Pato is gonna be HUGE this year.
    - Our full-backs are still garbage.

The fullbacks being garbage is not a positive for us,unless it helps Galliani realize that, and makes him buy a fullback in January
